This website provides relevant news about ongoing work of the Neurosonology Specialty Group of the World Federation of Neurology. It contains teaching programs, upcoming meetings, updates on literature and guidelines as well as fellowship offers. We aim to stimulate the communication within our members and to attract all those interested in neurosonology to join us.

NSRG Participation at the Neurosonology Workshop of the APSC
In September 2024 the first ever international neurosonology workshop in Australia was held at the Adelaide Convention Centre on the River Torrens. The workshop was part of the joint meeting of the Asia Pacific Stroke Organisation and the Australian and New Zealand Stroke Organisation. The program was arranged by Prof NV Ramani and the speakers included Prof Fabienne Perren, chairwoman of the Neurosonology Research Group of the World Federation of Neurology, and Prof Yong-Jae Kim, vice-president and Prof NV Ramani, president of the Asian Chapter.
The workshop included extra- and intracranial hands-on demonstration and we were very grateful for industry support from Philips and MedTech Edge in providing ultrasound devices. Dr Denise Roach and Mr Warwick Park performed a TCD bubble test on a live patient.
